Registered Nurse (RN) Vascular Access

Schedule: Monday-Fri, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (no call/no weekends). Job type: In person. Location: Martinsville, VA.

Responsibilities

• Insert and maintain Peripherally Inserted Central Catheters (PICC).
• Provide maintenance and follow-up care for PICC lines and central lines.
• Initiate training and education for nursing staff, patients, and families as required.
• Perform assessment, care planning, and intervention for vascular access patients.
• Apply device algorithms and troubleshoot vascular access devices.
• Perform ultrasound-guided peripheral IV starts.
• Administer Cath Flow for obstructed lines per physician order.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a professional school of nursing.
• Current VA RN license or compact state license.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
• American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment.
• Previous experience as a vascular access nurse.
