Job summary

Sarasota Memorial Health Care System seeks a skilled RN to join the Vascular Access Team. You will coordinate, insert, and maintain vascular access devices including PICCs and central lines, collaborating with the interprofessional team to ensure safe device care and access.

Responsibilities include device care, consultation on vascular access, and contributing to patient safety and care quality. Requires BSN or eligible, with relevant acute care experience and VA-BC/CRNI timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or diploma program; BSN required within specified timeframe for new hires after 2012.
• Minimum of two years of acute care clinical experience.
• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• VA-BC or CRNI certification within one year of hire/transfer date (post 1/1/18).
• Preferred: at least one year vascular access experience including PICC insertion.
• Preferred: membership in a professional vascular access organization.

Job Summary

Care and maintenance of vascular access devices including all central lines and life ports in coordination with nursing. Serves as a clinical resource and consultant to the interprofessional team on vascular access.

Required Qualifications

• - Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045).
• - Require a minimum of two (2) years of acute care clinical experience.
• - Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• - Require Vascular Access - Board Certified (VA-BC) or Certified Registered Nurse Infusion (CRNI) within one (1) year of hire/transfer date for all employees who are hired or transferred into the position after 1/1/18.

Preferred Qualifications

• - Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of vascular access experience including PICC insertion.
• - Prefer membership in a professional organization associated with vascular access.
