Qualifications

• Active RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting (long-term care preferred).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Solid understanding of clinical practices, regulatory standards, and long-term care operations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
• Must demonstrate reliability and consistent attendance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a 40-bed nursing unit, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs.
• Address staff performance, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary.
• Complete required documentation such as assessments, reports, audits, and care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of resident care.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and external agencies.
• Make sound clinical and administrative decisions in a timely manner.

Position Overview

The RN Unit Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising nursing services on an assigned unit, ensuring high-quality resident care while maintaining compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of a 40-bed nursing unit, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
• Address staff performance, including coaching, disciplinary actions, and terminations when necessary

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary up to $120,000 annually
