Registered Nurse (RN) - Triage, Full-time, Remote

Looking for full-time RNs - Position is 100% remote

  • Candidate MUST have 2+ years' acute care experience (ED, Urgent Care, ICU, and some Med/Surg considered) within the last 4 years.

Note: Remote work is NOT permitted from CA, CO, CT, HI, MA, MD, MN, NJ, MY, OR, RI, VT, WA.

Schedule
  • Full-time position
  • Start times: days 8a-10a or PM 12p-2p (or later)
  • 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available
  • Must be available to work every 3rd weekend and holiday rotation
Major Responsibilities
  • Assess patient needs telephonically using established protocols, involving patient, guardian, or family when necessary. Determine appropriate level of care, provide education, develop and communicate care plans, escalate as needed.
  • Prioritize patient interactions by acuity, applying evidence-based practices.
  • Implement strategies to reduce patient risk and enhance safety. Assess and individualize patient and family learning approaches.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and participate in department activities to improve patient outcomes.
  • Engage in professional development, attend meetings, complete competencies timely, and seek mentorship opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively, promote collaboration, and resolve conflicts professionally.
  • Promote safety culture by identifying threats, reporting incidents, and assisting in corrective actions.
  • Provide age-appropriate care, understanding growth and development, and coordinate with healthcare team for management and medication refills.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, document encounters promptly, and communicate patient status to team members.
  • Participate in team meetings, special projects, and departmental development activities.
Licensure, Registration, and Education
  • Valid RN license in practicing state
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing or equivalent
Experience and Skills
  • 2+ years' recent acute care experience preferred
  • Critical thinking, strong communication, rapport building, organizational skills, and proficiency with technology
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Stable internet, functional vision, speech, hearing
  • Sitting majority of the day, ability to lift 15 lbs, quiet workspace required
