Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, FL seeks an RN to provide high quality nursing care with emphasis on safety and infection control. You will coordinate patient care using the nursing process, participate in meetings, and ensure adherence to all policies.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS, ACLS and preferred BSN, with certifications within defined timelines. Delray Medical Center is a 536-bed acute care hospital offering a range of specialties; a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000 is

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Florida; BLS, ACLS, and critical care or emergency care training.
• Preferred BSN; prior critical care or TICU experience is advantageous.
• PALS, TNCC, ENPC certifications may be required or preferred within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, safe, cost effective nursing care to all patients.
• Coordinate and integrate patient care using the nursing process.
• Direct care according to safety, risk management, and infection control standards.
• Discharge patients with an optimum level of care and documentation.
• Report to and prepare for scheduled shifts; attend meetings and participate.
• Adhere to hospital, policy, and procedures 100% of the time.
• Follow Infection Control procedures and environmental standards.
• Adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.

Job description

Job Shift: Days Job Type: Full Time Up to $20,000 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to all patients. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, Infection Control, with the goal being to discharge the patient with an optimum level of care provided.

Reports for scheduled shift on time and prepared to assume responsibilities.

Attends and participates in meetings and is responsible for information communicated at meetings.

Adheres to Corporate, Regional, hospital and departmental policy and procedure 100% of the time.

Follows Infection Control procedures at all times.

Adheres to the following environmental care standards.

Demonstrates the ability to adapt to varied age-specific patient populations.

EDUCATION:

Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.

Preferred: BSN

EXPERIENCE:

Prior clinical experience in area of expertise preferred.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION:

Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida. BLS, ACLS, Basic EKG, critical care course and/or emergency care course that includes critical care didactic as part of course.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

• PALS within six (6) months
• TNCC within one year - Trauma Resus and TICU only. Optional for TSD
• ENPC within one year - Trauma Resus only. Optional for TICU and TSD
• CCRN, TCRN preferred
