Job summary

Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, FL, seeks a Registered Nurse for the Emergency/Trauma department to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care during night shifts. The role involves coordinating care, ensuring safety, managing complex cases, and discharging patients with appropriate plans.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $25,000 paid over 24 months. Requirements include Florida RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least 1 year Med/Surg or 2 years ER experience.

Qualifications

• Florida-licensed RN required.
• Minimum 1 year Med/Surg or 2 years ER experience.
• BLS/ACLS required; PALS within 12 months; CPI training; TNCC within 18 months.
• CEN preferred; ENPC encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe nursing care to ED patients.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Assist in discharge planning and education for patients and families.

Job Summary

Job Shift: Nights

Job Type: Full Time

The RN provides high quality, safe, cost effective, total nursing care to the Emergency/Trauma patient. The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, IQ, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient from the ED with an optimum level of care provided.

Qualifications

Education

• Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.

Experience

• Minimum: One (1) year experience in a Med/Surg area or
• Preferred: Two (2) years' experience in an Emergency Room setting

Required Certification/Licensure/Registration

• Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification
• PALS are required within one year of employment.
• Hazmat preferred, but not required
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within six months of employment.
• TNCC is required within 18 months of employment in the position.
• ENPC is strongly encouraged.
• CEN preferred, but not required
