Job summary

Hospital Sisters Health System seeks a Registered Nurse to coordinate patient transfers through the state-wide Transfer Center, working with physicians to facilitate management, placement, and transport of patients to appropriate facilities. Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program and be eligible for licensure in IL.
  • BSN preferred.
  • 3 years of recent acute care experience required.
  • Critical care/ED/ICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient transfers across the state with physicians and the Transfer Center.
  • Apply clinical judgment to facilitate patient placement and transport.
  • Collaborate with Sister Hospitals and facilities to ensure appropriate level of care.

Pay Range

$35.92 - $53.88 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

This position is responsible for the coordination of patients through the state-wide Transfer Center. Working with physicians and applying clinical judgement to facilitate the management, placement, and transport of patients throughout the state to Sister Hospitals or facilities that can provide the proper level of care and specialty for the individual needs of each patient.

Education Qualifications
  • Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • 3 years recent clinical experience in acute care is required.
  • Critical care experience is preferred.
  • ED or ICU experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
