RWJBarnabas Health seeks an RN for the Telemetry Float Pool at the Main Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. The role is part-time, day shift, 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with weekend and holiday rotations, totaling 36 hours per week.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to ensure safe, coordinated patient care while documenting in EPIC and supporting ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification.
• At least 1 year of acute care, telemetry, or medical-surgical RN experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred or to be completed within 5 years of hire.
• National Board Certification and ACLS preferred or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Prior 2–3 years of RN experience in acute care/telemetry/medical-surgical preferred.
• Comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene early and advocate for patients.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, with strong clinical judgment.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS Certification with at least 1 year of acute care or telemetry or medical surgical RN experience required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is strongly preferred or must be completed within 5 years upon hire. National Board Certification and ACLS Certification is preferred or must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Prior 2-3 years of RN experience within acute care or telemetry or medical surgical is highly preferred and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.

This position offers a Part-Time Day Shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday – Friday with weekend and holiday rotations, 36 hours per week, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining balance.
