Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC, is seeking an RN Telemetry nurse for a PRN position. The 24-bed unit offers 12-hour shifts, self-scheduling, and every-other-weekend rotation to promote work-life balance.

You will care for a diverse patient population, collaborate with experienced leaders, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement activities. A strong commitment to cardiac telemetry care is essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (NC or eNLC accepted).
• BLS required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• Telemetry or Cardiac experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

The RN Telemetry team at Frye Regional Medical Center offers a supportive, team-oriented culture where nurses collaborate closely to provide exceptional cardiac and telemetry care. The 24- Bed unit features self-scheduling, 12-hour shifts, and every-other-weekend rotation, helping promote flexibility and work-life balance. Nurses gain valuable experience caring for a diverse patient population while working alongside experienced leaders and a strong interdisciplinary team.

• 24- Bed Unit
• 4:1 Patient Ratio
• 12 Hour Shifts
• Self- Scheduling
• Cardiology Procedures and Telemetry Monitoring
• Pre & Post Cardiac Cath Patients

How You'll Contribute

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs

What We're Looking For

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred (Telemetry or Cardiac)
