Overview
  • Department: Telemetry
  • Schedule: Full Time, 7:00am - 7:30pm with alternating weekends
  • Hospital: Resurrection Medical Center
  • Location: Chicago, IL 60631

Responsibilities

As a RN on our Telemetry unit, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Deliver direct patient care within the scope of practice, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Telemetry Unit.
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Provide a safe environment for patients and visitors.
  • Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology.
  • Utilize the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care from admission through discharge.
Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Current and valid state RN License.
  2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  3. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  4. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  5. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
  6. Ventilator Management experience preferred.
  7. Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification preferred.
  8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $35.35 to $53.58. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
