Job summary

Community Health Network in Kokomo, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Telemetry Medical/Surgical (TMS) unit on a PRN basis. This night shift role requires two 12-hour shifts (7pm–7:30am) every six weeks and adherence to clinical standards of practice.

The RN will manage patient care in the continuum, collaborate with the care team, and demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring on a stroke-designated unit. Indiana licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of NLN, CCNE, ACEN, NLN CNEA accredited nursing school, or three years of related nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Indiana per NLC.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care on the Telemetry Medical/Surgical unit, including stroke-designated care.
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective and cost-conscious nursing practice.

Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo has an excellent opportunity available within our Telemetry Medical/Surgical (TMS) unit. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for demonstrating performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, performance, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of the organization. The Registered Nurse manages patient care in the healthcare continuum to achieve optimum outcomes in a safe and cost-effective manner. The Registered Nurse demonstrates skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.

The TMS Unit is a mixed Medical Surgical Unit with a 30-bed capacity and is the most basic of our in-patient units. All beds have capability for telemetry monitoring. This is our designated Stroke Unit at Howard Regional.

Your exceptional skills and qualifications

• Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC)
