Loyola Medicine in Maywood, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7SW Surgical & General Trauma Unit. This 33-bed adult inpatient unit operates on a day shift with a 12-hour schedule.

Nurses collaborate with a PCT, guided by a charge RN, to deliver acute care across trauma, general surgery, urology, orthopedics, gynecology and medicine. Requirements include a diploma from an accredited school of nursing (BSN or ADN), current Illinois RN license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS certification required prior to hire.
• Illinois RN license required prior to hire.
• 1 year nursing experience preferred; new grads welcome.

Employment Type:Full time Shift:12 Hour Day Shift Description: 7SW (Surgical & General Trauma Unit): is a 33-bed adult inpatient surgical unit located on the 7thfloor occupying the south and west wings. Patient population may include but not limited to the following: Trauma, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Gynecology and Medicine. 7SW is a semi-private unit. RN works with a PCT. A charge RN is assigned for both shifts to facilitate immediate unit needs and acts as direct resource. Acute nursing care treatment and monitoring modalities include but not limited to periodic vital signs, centralized telemetry, oxygen monitoring, glucose monitoring and wound care. Most common diagnoses and surgical procedures are traumatic brain injury, polytraumas, cholecystectomies, prostatectomies, joint replacements, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) urinary diversions, and other urologic procedures, bowel resections and ostomies.

We seek colleagues with

• A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
• BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire

BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour

ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
