Loyola University Medical Center is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for the 5 Tower Cardiac Surgery & Step-Down Unit in Maywood, IL. This full-time position on a rotating shift offers comprehensive benefits starting day one and opportunities for career growth.

The unit focuses on cardiovascular and thoracic post-op care, with training in cardiac telemetry, drips, chest tubes, and external pacers. Illinois nursing licensure and BLS are required prior to hire.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing (BSN or ADN) is required.
• BLS provider (American Heart Association) required prior to hire.
• Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to post-op cardiovascular and thoracic patients on the 5 Tower unit.
• Learn skills including cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and external pacers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Rotating Shift Description: 5 Tower (Cardiac Surgery & Step-Down Unit): is a 32-bed inpatient, private room unit specializing in care for post-op cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, lung transplants, heart transplants, and advanced heart failure (LVADs). This unit is unique in that we also have a 6-bed transitional unit with higher acuity patients that require specialized care. The nurses on this unit will learn several skills, including, but not limited to cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and external pacers.

BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour

ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
