Job summary

Lourdes Health, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks a Registered Nurse in Surgery in Washington. This union role supports perioperative patient care across multiple operating rooms with day shifts, 40 hours per week, and on-call rotation.

The RN will prepare ORs, perform circulating duties, maintain sterile technique, and coordinate with surgeons and anesthesia teams. Requires RN license, ACLS/BCLS/PALS, and 1+ year perioperative experience.

• ACLS, BCLS, and PALS certifications required
• At least one year of perioperative RN experience

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room and ensure all equipment and supplies are available
• Perform circulating nurse duties during surgical procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and monitor the surgical environment for safety and compliance
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to support efficient case flow
• Communicate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers and team members
• Document care accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in process improvement efforts to enhance efficiency, safety and team performance

The registered nurse (RN) plans, coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served in the Surgical Services department. The RN ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with departmental standards of care. The RN demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the assigned unit and the organization. They remain flexible to changing systems - are expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practices, and treat staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.

• 6 Operating Rooms
• 2 GI Suites
• 8 Hour Shifts
• Monday through Friday from
• On- Call rotation including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays, may be required based on departmental needs
• 1 Weekend/Month Required

How You'll Contribute

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgery is responsible for delivering safe, efficient and high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process. Key responsibilities include:

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Current RN license in state of practice
• ACLS, BCLS, PALS required
• At least one year of Perioperative RN experience
