Job summary

Lourdes Health in Pasco, WA is hiring a Registered Nurse for Emergency Services on the evening shift. This full-time position offers 3x12s with a 3p-3a schedule and a $10,000-$20,000 commitment bonus.

Requires WA RN license, BSN/ADN from an accredited program, and ACLS/BCLS/PALS with NIHSS within 90 days. Union environment with competitive shift differentials and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington state.

• 1–3 years of RN ED experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform plan-of-care interventions including meds, specimens and treatments.
• Document care provided and monitor patient status.
• Communicate patient needs to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assist patients with daily living activities and nutrition.
• Coordinate transfers, discharges and referrals with team.
• Educate patients and families based on age and condition.

How You'll Contribute

You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing. A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
• Evaluates patient and family learning needs and provides appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
• Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• ACLS, BCLS, PALS; NIHSS within 90 days of hire
• 1 to 3 years of RN Emergency Department experience required
