Job summary

Texas Health HEB in Bedford, TX is seeking an RN for the Operating Room to join a team delivering perioperative care. You will assist with pre-op, intra-op, and post-op responsibilities while maintaining sterile technique and patient safety.

The position is full-time (36 hours weekly) with weekend day shifts Fri–Sun 6:30am–7:00pm and no on-call. Requires RN license, BCLS, and OR experience preferred; nursing diploma/degree options accepted.

Qualifications

• Nursing diploma, ADN, or BSN required/preferred.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of RN residency program required.
• 1 year OR experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care throughout the patient’s surgical experience.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with anesthesia support.
• Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.

Here’s What You Need

• Nursing Diploma required OR
• Associate's Degree Nursing required OR
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• 1 year of OR experience highly preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required AND
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
