OrthoNebraska is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in an Hospital setting to provide safe perioperative and musculoskeletal patient care. The role supports collaboration with surgical teams and emphasizes patient safety and adherence to aseptic standards.

HOURS: Mon-Fri, 4x10-hour shifts, with varying start times from 6:30a to 7p. Pre-employment checks and licensure as required will be completed for candidates.

  • Maintains professional behavior and supports the organization’s mission.
  • Initiates actions to reduce risks to patients and staff (e.g., falls, needle sticks).
  • Complies with safety policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participates in department meetings and mandatory education.
  • Follows hospital and department guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

IF this sounds like the type of team and environment you want to be a part of apply today!Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse (RN) Hospital works collaboratively with both clinical and non-clinical teams, focusing on providing safe and effective care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.Hours/Schedule: Mon - Fri: 4 10-Hour Shifts, Variable shifts between 630a - 7pKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesDemonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age /weight of the patients served.Performs technical skills competently and independently to assure patient safety.In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures Highly skilled at assessing patients prior to surgery and providing them with perioperative care Extensive knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques Ability to collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals Solid understanding of patient health and safety standards Excellent organizational skillsEssential Job FunctionsPerforms an initial and ongoing assessment to determine the assigned patient’s ongoing nursing care needs.Develops/reviews/revises and individualizes the plan of care to address the patient’s nursing care needs for optimum patient care outcome.Implements interventions consistent with the established plan of care in a safe and appropriate manner.Evaluates patient care to determine response to care/interventions for optimal patient outcome.Maintains a professional behavior in attitudes, demeanor, interactions to achieve organization’s mission.Initiates action to correct, prevent, and/or minimize risk(s) to the patient, family or hospital employees (i.e., falls, needle sticks, patient concerns).Comply with safety activities, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission.Participate in performance improvement activities.Attend and participate in department meetings.Attend mandatory educational programs.Follow established guidelines as stated in hospital and departmental policies and procedures.Responsible for all other duties as assigned.Must be able to pass background check. We also conduct pre-employment physical and drug testing. Any job offer will be contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment physical with a drug screen, background check and obtaining active licensures per job requirements.
