Job summary

North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, AL, is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room for a full-time day shift. You will provide perioperative care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities include accurate patient assessments, timely nursing interventions, and meticulous documentation. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM with on-call rotation and possible extended hours during the week and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred.
  • Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.

  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
