Job summary

Delmar Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead nursing services on the floor. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and supervise staff, including assignments and training.

The role requires a nursing degree, RN licensure, CPR certification, and a minimum of two years in long-term care, with at least one year in a supervisory capacity. The facility offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college/university.
• Minimum two years of direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings.
• Minimum one year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must meet state licensure requirements and have no disciplinary action against license.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews complaints and grievances and reports to the Director of Nursing as required.
• Ensures adequate stock of medications, supplies, equipment, etc., is maintained on the unit to meet resident needs.
• Assists in developing written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of nursing needs.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs.

Education

Nursing degree from an accredited college or university

Pay Rate: $50-$53/hr

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.


• Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.


• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary


• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.


• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.


• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.


• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Education and Experience:

• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.


• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an


• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting


• Current CPR Certification.


• Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.
