Job summary

Quantum Rehabilitation and Nursing has Full-time opportunities for Registered Nurse Supervisors to join their team. Shifts available: 3-11. SNF/LTC experience required.

RN Supervisors oversee the unit's overall operation and quality of care, lead the team, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures while coordinating with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Current NYS RN license.
• Minimum 1 year SNF/LTC experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Notify physician and family of changes in resident condition; inform supervisor.
• Assume responsibilities of the RN Supervisor in absence or as directed.
• Complete and audit routine documentation as required.
• Lead and motivate the team with strong communication.
• Comply with state requirements and facility policies and standards.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care per resident needs.
• Guide staff and ensure tasks are completed.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' symptoms and behavior.
• Communicate and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Report to the Director of Nursing.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS (Including but not limited to):

RN's are responsible for the overall operation and optimal quality of care for the residents on the assigned unit.

Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Contacts the resident's physician and family to notify them of a change in the resident's condition or accident/incident; also notifies the supervisor covering.
• Assumes all responsibilities of the RN Supervisor in his/her absence or as directed by the DNS/ADNS.
• Assumes independent responsibility for completing the required routine documentation and auditing as required.
• Must have strong communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate the team.
• Comply with all state requirements and facility policies, procedures and standards of conduct.
• Have the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to the individualized needs.
• Guides the staff and ensures tasks are being completed.
• Monitors and reports changes in residents’ symptoms and behavior.
• Communicates and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and or physicians.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current NYS RN license
• Reliable transportation and demonstrate excellent work ethic.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
• Minimum 1 yr SNF/LTC Experience

Salary:

$55-60 per hour
