Job summary

Seven Hills Health & Rehabilitation Center in Tallahassee, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to lead nursing services on the floor, ensuring quality resident care and regulatory compliance. The role focuses on directing staff, managing medications and supplies, and developing assessments for residents.

Requirements include an accredited RN degree, 2+ years in long-term care or geriatric settings, at least 1 year as a nursing supervisor, and current CPR certification; state

Qualifications

• RN with long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• RN degree from an accredited college or university.
• Two+ years providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings.
• At least one year as nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home.
• Current CPR Certification required.
• Must meet state licensure/certification requirements with no disciplinary action.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and direct nursing services on the applicable floor.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and facility policies.
• Review staff complaints and grievances; report to Director of Nursing as needed.
• Maintain adequate medication, supply, and equipment stock; notify for needs.
• Contribute to written assessments of residents' nursing needs.
• Make nursing/aide assignments and encourage staff training participation.

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor:

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Major Duties and Critical Tasks:

• Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs nursing services for residents on the floor assigned.
• Ensures compliance with current applicable federal, state and local regulations and facility policies and procedures.
• Reviews complaints and grievances made or filed by staff. Makes appropriate reports to the Director of Nursing as required or as necessary.
• Ensures an adequate stock of medications, medical supplies, equipment, etc., is always maintained on the unit to adequately meet the needs of the resident and notifies appropriate personnel of needs.
• Assists in the development of written preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident.
• Makes nursing/aide assignments as indicated.
• Encourages staff to attend and participate in outside training programs and schedules times as appropriate.

Registered Nurse ( RN ) Supervisor Education and Experience:

• RN with Long term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
• A nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience providing direct care in long-term care, restorative or geriatric settings as an
• Minimum one (1) year of experience as a nursing supervisor, preferably in a nursing home setting
• Current CPR Certification.
• Must also meet state requirements for relevant licensures or certifications and have no disciplinary action in effect against professional license.
