Job description

This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus and is a “working night supervisor” role. The working hours are from 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., Monday through Friday.

Position Summary

The RN Supervisor is responsible for coordinating patient care and services, promoting quality care through a collaborative process that monitors and evaluates services based on patient needs. The supervisor works with patients and families in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution
  • Active RN license in applicable state, maintained in good standing
  • At least two years of nursing experience; geriatric nursing preferred
  • CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; certification must remain current
Specific Job Requirements
  • Expert knowledge in the field of practice
  • Ability to make independent decisions when necessary
  • Knowledge of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines relevant to post-acute care
  • Ability to implement and interpret departmental programs, goals, and policies
  • Proficiency in all competency areas, including patient rights and safety
  • Maintain professional relationships with staff and vendors
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Adhere to company policies, including harassment and compliance procedures
  • Display integrity and professionalism, completing mandatory training
Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and manage patient care to promote the highest physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being
  • Evaluate the quality of patient care daily
  • Supervise licensed staff and CNAs, prioritizing patient needs and reporting
  • Assess patient needs and develop care plans
  • Provide excellent customer service with a positive attitude
  • Assist in patient evacuation procedures
  • Maintain dependable attendance
  • Use reasoning and good judgment in daily tasks
  • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Perform physical activities as required during work hours
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently
