Job Summary and Qualifications

• Assess health status and needs of patients through data interpretation and collaboration with healthcare team.
• Provide individualized nursing care using a systematic approach.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and formulate care plans based on diagnoses.
• Implement nursing care within scope and legal requirements.
• Develop and execute patient education plans for health promotion and restoration.
• Offer emotional support and age-specific care, fostering partnerships with patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients, including direct care and delegation to team members.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• BSN required within 24 months if hired after 6/1/12.
• Minimum two years of critical care, ICU, or recent hospital experience.
• Ability to care for ICU, PCU, and Med Surg patients as needed.
• Charge responsibilities experience preferred.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
