Job Summary and Qualifications

• Assess patients' health status and needs through data interpretation and collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care using a systematic approach.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and develop nursing care plans based on diagnoses and problems.
• Implement nursing care within scope and legal requirements.
• Develop and deliver patient education for health promotion and maintenance.
• Provide emotional support and age-specific care, fostering partnerships with patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients, either directly or through delegation.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required within 24 months if hired after 6/1/12.
• Minimum two years' ICU or hospital experience within last three years.
• Ability to care for ICU, PCU, and Med Surg patients.
• Charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
• Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
