Job Summary and Qualifications

• Assess health status and needs of patients and families through data interpretation and collaboration.
• Provide individualized nursing care using a systematic approach.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and formulate nursing care plans.
• Implement care within scope and legal requirements.
• Develop and teach health promotion, maintenance, and restoration plans.
• Offer emotional support and age-specific care, fostering partnerships with patients and families.
• Care for multiple patients through direct care or delegation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• BSN required within 24 months if hired after 6/1/12.
• At least two years’ experience in critical care or ICU within the last three years.
• Ability to care for ICU, PCU, and Med Surg patients.
• Charge nurse responsibilities as needed.
• Current RN license in Texas or compact license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
