Job summary

Baxter Health in Mountain Home, AR seeks a Staff RN for 5 South Surgical / Orthopedics. The role provides direct patient care in a busy orthopedics unit with a Shared Governance culture and opportunities for professional growth.

Hours: 7A-7P (7P-7A), 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. ADN required; BSN preferred. AR RN license in good standing; BLS required; ACLS encouraged. Sign-on bonus: $2,500–$10,000.

Qualifications

• ADN required; BSN preferred.
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year experience preferred.
• BLS required; ACLS encouraged but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on 5 South Surgical/Orthopedics.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Collaborate with health care team to promote evidence-based care.

5 South is a 26 bed surgical unit specializing in orthopedics, general surgery, and neurosurgery. Our outstanding staff includes 13 Orthopedic Certified Registered Nurses, reflecting our staff’s dedication to being the very best they can be. Position Highlights:

• Work / Life: Hours: 7A-7P (7P-7A), 3 – 12 hour shifts per week
• Education Opportunities: Continue to advance you and your families’ education, utilizing Baxter Health Foundation Scholarships.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit and providing leadership within the nursing team.
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan implement and evaluate the plan of care for patients served, through the model of Shared Governance.
• Collaborate with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. ADN required. BSN Preferred.
• Licensure: Current Arkansas or Compact State RN License in good standing.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience preferred.
• BLS required. ACLS is encouraged, but not required.
• Other: Ability to read, write and communicate effectively. Basic computer knowledge required.
