MaineHealth is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for the Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This 24 hour/week Day shift role involves comprehensive psychiatric care, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and support for patients aged 18–95 in acute crisis.
The RN 2 level requires progression and on-going development, with a 1-year advancement track from RN I upon onboarding completion. A sign-on bonus is available for eligible candidates.
This is a Registered Nurse 2 vacancy open to candidates with greater than 1 year of RN work experience
For a limited time MaineHealth is offering a $5,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of RN experience and $10,000 for Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of RN work experience!

Unit Bio:
The Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is a 13 bed, locked unit that provides a24 hourtreatment program designed to provide care for adults ages 18-95 in acute psychiatric crisis. The multidisciplinary team treats individuals experiencing major mental illnesses and addiction related problems. The program includes voluntary and involuntary levels of care.
Our team of mental health professionals plan and work together with the patient to provide psychiatric care, medical treatment, support, referral for follow-up care, and opportunities for learning and emotional growth.
The MH Registered Nurse RN I role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
The MH Registered Nurse RN II role is competent in their clinical role and has demonstrated the ability to care for most patients assigned. Though not able to care for every patient type within their area of hire, demonstrates how to obtain the appropriate resources to develop required skills and knowledge over time. This level includes automatic advancement after 1 year as a RN I – must be in good standing and meets RN I requirements.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.
Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with the scheduled hours and applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
