Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at Clatsop Care, you’ll lead and provide patient-centered care in our Skilled and Intermediate Units, working under the guidance of the Director of Nursing Services (DNS). You’ll oversee daily operations for your assigned shift, managing resident care and supporting staff to ensure a safe, comfortable, and caring environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Care Leadership: Oversee patient care with a focus on high standards and compassionate service. Perform physical, psychological, and social assessments and communicate updates to physicians, families, and care teams as needed.
• Direct Patient Care: Administer IV therapy, medications, and treatments per physician orders. Provide care for residents needing ostomy and catheter care, tube feedings, and insulin injections.
• Team Supervision: Assign duties to nursing personnel based on patient and unit needs. Provide leadership, guidance, and, if needed, corrective actions to maintain quality care and policy compliance.
• Crisis Response: Initiate emergency procedures when necessary, documenting patient care and maintaining confidentiality at all times.
