The maximum stay is typically two days per patient. Registered nurses can expect between 6 and 8 patient discharges per shift, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5 to 1:6. The unit is supported by a highly skilled team of unit coordinators, educators, and a nurse manager. It benefits from low staff turnover and a strong culture of collaboration. Additional PCT staff are available to assist with ambulation and patient care. This well-supported team is ideal for both new graduate nurses and experienced Registered Nurses looking to expand their skills.
