Job summary

Hillcrest Hospital South in Tulsa, OK, is seeking a day shift, full-time Intermediate Care Step Down Unit (SDU) Registered Nurse (RN). You will deliver patient care using the nursing process, collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team, and contribute to a high-quality care environment.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Oklahoma RN licensure, BLS within 14 days of hire, and ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Current Oklahoma RN license is required (per job posting).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Identify priorities, create care plans, delegate interventions, and collaborate with the care team.

The Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for using the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide care to assigned patients. Responsible and accountable for identifying and prioritizing needs, formulating the plan of care, prioritizing/managing/delegating interventions, and collaborating with the physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One or more years of experience in a Step-Down Unit
• Med/Surg experience with an aptitude for developing new skills will be considered
