Job summary

Keswick in Baltimore, MD is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for Rehab/Sub-Acute care. This full-time evening position runs 3 pm to 11:30 pm with additional weekend differential opportunities. Competitive hourly pay: $36.92–$50.67, plus shift and weekend differentials, with an extra weekend differential.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN Nursing program; RN licensure in Maryland.
• Active RN licensure without disciplinary infractions by Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of prior experience in long-term care; 2+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care according to established standards and care plans.
• Function as shift Charge Nurse and oversee care delivery by RNs, LPNs and GNAs.
• Conduct resident/patient assessments on admission and per unit standards.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and regulatory compliance during rounds.
• Maintain clinical records and update as required.
• Transcribe physicians' orders to charts and medication records.
• Administer medications and treatments per regulations and procedures.
• Receive report from off-going shift and relay to oncoming shift.
• Complete documentation related to admission, transfer, and discharge processes.

What will I do as an RN with Keswick?

• Perform nursing care according to established nursing standards and individualizes care based on the care plan and physician orders.
• Function as shift Charge Nurse as assigned and oversee care delivery and completion of nursing tasks by RNs, LPNs and GNAs.
• Performs resident/patient assessments upon admission and per unit standards.
• Ensure patient safety, comfort and regulatory compliance by performing clinical rounds.
• Maintain resident/patient clinical records according to established policies and procedures; make corrections and additions to medical records following facility standards and procedures.
• Transcribe physicians' orders to resident/patient charts, medication records etc. as required.
• Administer medications and treatments according to regulations and established procedures.
• Receive report from off-going shift and gives report to oncoming shift during walking rounds.
• Complete required documentation related to the patient admission, transfer, and discharge processes and ensures that all steps have been completed.

What is required in this position?

• Graduation from an accredited RN Nursing program: Registered Nurse curriculum is required; Bachelors degree in Nursing preferred.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure without disciplinary infractions by Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification required.
• At least 1 year of prior continual experience with the same long-term care facility is required. 2 or more years of service are preferred.
• On e year of recent Medical-Surgical experience is required for assignment to Baker Rehab and is desirable for all other assignments.
