Registered Nurse (RN) Progressive Care PCU 2

Position Details: RN - Progressive Care, Full Time Days. This role involves coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, acting as a patient advocate, and collaborating with ancillary and non-nursing departments.

Reports to: Department Director.
FLSA: Non-exempt.
Education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
License: Current state RN license or multistate compact license; degree from an accredited nursing school.
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Required Skills: Effective communication and understanding of patient and family needs, critical thinking, ability to work under pressure while maintaining customer focus.

Essential Functions
  • Assess patient condition and nursing care needs.
  • Set goals and prescribe appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Develop and implement nursing care plans.
  • Evaluate patient care outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff.
