AdventHealth South Overland Park is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The position is full-time with day shifts. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, individualized care planning, medication administration, patient education, and care coordination with the healthcare team.

Qualifications include an Associate's degree in Nursing and RN licensure with BLS. Experience in acute care is preferred.

Qualifications

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. * Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
