Palmetto Lowcountry Behavioral Health is pleased to announce the following available position: Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN

Position Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) will provide primary care coordination for patients and implement a collaborative care plan as prescribed by physician and treatment team. Duties include: assess mental health needs; develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan and evaluate nursing care; administer and/or monitor the effects and side effects of medications and treatments ordered by a physician; ensure safety and provide consistent therapeutic milieu management and crisis intervention strategies.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provides direct care to patients on assigned unit.
• Administers and documents prescribed medications and treatments.
• Establishes therapeutic rapport with the patient, provides support and utilizes approved crisis intervention techniques.

Available Schedules

Day: 7:00am to 7:30pm

Night: 7:00pm to 7:30am

Qualifications

Education

Graduate of an accredited college of nursing. BSN or BS preferred. Specialty certification also preferred.

Experience

Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Current SC RN license or an RN license from a compact state required; CPI training provided upon hire.
