Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Scott County, IN is hiring a Registered Nurse to care for pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts open.

As an RN, you will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and coordinate in-home care with prescribers to ensure quality, compassionate service. Join a dedicated team that supports caregivers and patients across the community.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license for the state.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility or state regulation.
• PPD or Chest X-Ray up to date.
• Current BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement and evaluate in-home patient care.
• Initiates and revises the plan of care as the patient status changes.
• Delivers therapeutic, preventive and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes and reports changes to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews plans and coordinates education, discharge planning and care goals.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from the prescriber any necessary revisions as the patient's status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as monitors and documents the effectiveness of the intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
