Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Scott County is seeking a Registered Nurse to work with pediatric and/or adult patients in their own homes. Night shifts available with competitive pay and weekly paychecks.

Responsibilities include planning and evaluating patient care, initiating plans of care, and administering treatments as prescribed. Current RN license, Health Certificate, PPD/Chest X-Ray, and BLS are required; one year of RN experience preferred. Full benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state of practice.
• Current Health Certificate as required by facility contract or state regulation.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS certification.
• One year of RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in home health settings.
• Initiates plans of care and requests revisions as patient needs change.
• Implements therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Intervenes in response to patient condition changes and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, care, and discharge planning as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from the prescriber any necessary revisions as the patient's status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to the appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as monitors and documents the effectiveness of the intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting, and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year of Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
