Northwest Specialty Hospital's Pre-Op/PACU Unit is seeking a compassionate RN for a part-time role to cover pre-op and recovery. You will work in a fast-paced environment with a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, applying the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.

Required Idaho RN licensure; BSN preferred; BLS; ACLS and PALS within six months. Strong English communication and ability to collaborate with the team are essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Idaho is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• ACLS certification within six months of employment.
• PALS certification within six months of employment.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in PACU/Pre-Op Unit.
• Delegate nursing assignments and oversee admissions/discharges.
• Monitor and order medicines and supplies; apply nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).

Northwest Specialty Pre-Op/PACU Unit is seeking a compassionate, patient-focused RN to join the team!This is a part-time Position!In this fast-paced role you will direct and provide professional nursing care in our PACU/Pre-Op Unit. In this unit, you will be expected to work both pre-op and recovery. The typical patient to nurse ratio is 2:1, but can vary based on department needs. You will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation to direct or provide nursing care. Individuals in this role perform such duties as delegating nursing assignments, preparing schedules, overseeing admissions and discharges, and monitoring and ordering medicines and supplies.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:Previous PACU, critical care, or emergency room experience strongly preferredCurrent RN licensure in the State of IdahoBSN preferredProof of Basic Life Support (BLS) CertificationACLS certification within six months of employmentPALS certification within six months of employmentDemonstrated skills in verbal and written English communications for safe and effective patient care and to meet documentation standardsAbility to relate and work effectively with othersAware of professional nursing standards and performs in accordance with them
