Job summary

UT Health East Texas invites you to join our Tyler, TX hospital as a day shift, full-time Post Operation Registered Nurse (RN). You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process for post-operative patients in a fast-paced surgical unit.

The ideal candidate holds an ADN, a Texas RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 90 days, with experience in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and airway management.

Qualifications

• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

• Experience with ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Job Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Must maintain current Texas RN License
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
• ACLS
• PALS (within 90 days of hire)
• Competence in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care medications that may or may not need to be titrated
• Thorough knowledge of airway management and rescue methods
• Pediatric/Adult Phase 1 and Phase 2
• Maintain knowledge of ASPAN Standards

Preferred Job Requirements

• PACU, ICU, ER, or other acceptable acute care experience
