Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Night Shift, Full-Time Post-Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse to join our team. You will care for new mothers and newborns, coordinate care, and support a family-centered unit.

Requirements include NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, NJ RN license, NRP and BLS, 1–2 years Mother/Baby or MS nursing, and EFM training. We offer competitive pay, benefits, tuition assistance, and a supportive, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• NRP Certification is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• RN license in NJ or an RN Multistate License (NCL) is required.
• 1–2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff cares for a defined patient population to achieve outcomes.
• Directs and oversees care by other staff through delegation and coordination.
• Coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians, and support services.
• Reports to the Nurse Manager.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.
• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.
• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care or the American Red Cross (ARC).
• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL is required.
• 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical-Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• OB nursing certification preferred.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
