Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the RWJ Somerset facility in Somerville, NJ. This part-time, night-shift role (7pm–7:30am) supports the Post Intensive Care- III department with 24 hours weekly.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, BLS, and ACLS, with at least 1 year telemetry experience. An ADN is required and a BSN is strongly preferred, along with EMR (EPIC) fluency.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification is required.
• At least 1 year telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Provide safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands-on care.
• Serve as a clinical partner to physicians/advanced providers.
• Educate patients and families for next steps in care.
• Document accurately in the EMR to promote continuity and safety.
• Participate in rounds to support teamwork and transitions of care.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and ladders.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
