RWJBarnabas Health is seeking an RN for the Post Intensive Care Unit at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, NJ. The role focuses on comprehensive nursing care, patient safety, and collaborative team-based decision making.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ endorsement.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
• Administer safe, evidence-based medications and hands-on care.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families to support informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity of care.

To be considered for this RN opportunity

you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Experienced preferred. This position offers a consistent of a full time night schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and every other weekend is required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.
