RWJBarnabas Health's Jersey City Medical Center is seeking a Post Intensive Care Unit RN for night shift. The role is based at 355 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302, within the Post Intensive Care Unit-I. Requires NJ RN license, BLS, and EPIC proficiency; BSN preferred; full-time night schedule from 7:00 p.m.

to 7:00 a.m., with every other weekend. The RN will provide comprehensive assessments, safe medication administration, and collaborative care in a high-acuity setting, while documenting

Qualifications

Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
Experience with electronic medical record systems (EPIC).
Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes.
Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
Collaborate with physicians and providers for timely care decisions.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

Conducting comprehensive patient assessments and recognize subtle clinical changes, using your judgment to intervene early and advocate for your patients
Providing safe, evidence-based medications, treatments, and hands on care grounded in strong clinical judgment

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement and a current American Heart Association BLS certification. A bachelor’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. Experienced preferred. This position offers a consistent of a full time night schedule from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and every other weekend is required. Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs.
