Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Post Cardiac Cath recovery in a 24-bed unit. This full-time night shift offers in-person work and a dedicated care team to support patients and staff.

You will perform patient assessments, implement care plans, document medical records, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality post-procedure recovery and safety for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

More About Our Team

The 2 South Med Surg/Telemetry unit specializes in Post Cardiac Cath Recovery and offers a supportive and dynamic environment for both patients and staff. With a capacity of 24 patient beds, the unit maintains a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, ensuring quality care and manageable workloads. Each shift is staffed according to our matrix, with Patient Care Assistants (PCA) or Patient Care Technicians (PCT) present to assist nurses and support patient needs.

How You'll Contribute

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
