RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Per Diem duties in the Dialysis Unit–Inpatient at Trinitas Regional Medical Center in Elizabeth, NJ. The role focuses on individualized patient care, on-call responsibilities, and adaptability in a fast-paced dialysis environment.

The ideal candidate holds an active NJ RN license, BLS, and dialysis experience; a BSN is preferred. This position offers per diem scheduling and competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of one year dialysis experience preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Willing to float within Renal Department and to perform On Call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives and mission of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
• Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, ANA Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, and regulatory agencies.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning and unit Performance Improvement activities.

As a Registered Nurse (RN), a typical day may include:

• The Registered Nurse (RN) organizes and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Saint Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing.
• Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies.
• Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.

To be considered for this RN opportunity, you must hold an active New Jersey Registered Nurse license in good standing; Hold a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
