Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Omaha is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem coverage in Omaha, NE. This PRN role features 12-hour shifts with days and nights available and competitive pay rates.

Orientation is thorough to ensure a smooth transition into our post-ICU care setting. The position offers tiered compensation of $49.50/hr (Tier 1) or $55.50/hr (Tier 2) with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for PRN staff.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS required at hire.
• Active RN license for the state.
• Strong assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and transfers to the unit.
• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Document timely and accurately in systems.
• Interpret labs and telemetry data.
• Transcribe and verify medical orders.
• Respond to rapid responses and codes.
• Educate patients and families.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Receive admissions and/or transfers to the unit


• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment


• Timely and accurate documentation using appropriate systems


• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry


• Ensure medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately


• Competence in Rapid Response and code events


• Instruct and counsel patients/families


• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
