Greenridge Post-Acute and Senior Living in El Sobrante, CA seeks an on-call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide leadership for nursing staff and guide resident care in compliance with laws and policies. The role involves supervising LVNs/CNAs, reviewing care notes, administering treatments and meds, and collaborating with physicians to develop care plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians to provide patient care and record progress notes per regulations and policies.
• Directs LVNs, CNAs, and staff in nursing procedures and treatments per orders and patient needs.
• Reviews nursing notes for accuracy and alignment with patient wishes and orders.
• Administers treatments, medications, and charts as required.
• Interprets diagnostics to assess patient conditions and guide care.
• Creates Plan of Care with nursing staff and leadership.
• Maintains a kind, safe, professional work environment and escalates concerns to Administration.

Registered Nurse (RN) needed for premier nursing facility. Come join our winning team!

Position Summary:

Provides leadership for nursing staff and guidance in the care of patients/residents’ care and services in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, the resident's assessment and company policies.

• Current RN License valid in the same state as the facility
• Supervisory background in SNF setting
• Excellent observation, verbal and written communication, problem solving, basic math skills; nursing skills per competency checklist
• Outstanding communication (oral and written) skills
• Ability to lead by example – maintaining a kind, patient and professional demeanor in all work-related situations

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with attending physicians to provide patient care, record/sign progress notes, physician orders, etc. in accordance with all current regulations and company policies
• Oversees and directs L.V.N.s, C.N.A.s and other clinical support persons in performing nursing procedures and treatments in accordance with physician orders and patient needs
• Reviews nurses’ notes to ensure they are accurate/descriptive of the nursing care being provided, including the resident’s responses to the care, and that care is in accordance with the resident’s wishes and physician orders
• Administers treatments and medications, start IVs, charting/documenting as required
• Interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' conditions
• Collaborates with nursing staff and leadership team to create a Plan of Care for patients
• Ensures a kind, positive, safe work environment for everyone, ensuring professional communication at all times and escalating any concerns to the Administrator
