Portneuf Medical Center, Inc. in Pocatello, ID is seeking a variable shift, PRN, Surgery (OR) Registered Nurse to join our OR team.

The RN provides nursing care using the nursing process, responds to emergencies, and collaborates with physicians and staff to prioritize and deliver patient care in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN licensure in Idaho.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred OR and CVOR experience.
• CNOR.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process to deliver care according to hospital policies.
• Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Organize care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with providers/leaders.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Current RN licensure in Idaho

Current BLS certification

ACLS certification within 6 months of hire

The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience in order to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols. The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions. The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.
