Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is hiring registered nurses for full-time day shift. You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality care.

Eligible clinicians can advance through our Clinical Ladder Program with salary increases based on experience and achievements. Florida background checks apply; pay range is $31.85–$52.76 per hour.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license required (RN).
• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• English fluency in reading, speaking and writing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients across physiological and psychosocial factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and communication.
• Document patient information and care activities accurately in the medical record.

Job Description:

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]
