Job summary

AdventHealth in East Orlando, FL is seeking a compassionate RN for a PRN role at the East Orlando campus. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, create and adjust care plans, administer medications, and educate patients and families to promote understanding and adherence.

Collaborating with a skilled team, you will contribute to safe, high-quality patient care while pursuing growth through our Clinical Ladder program. Must hold an RN license with BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred.
• RN license is required; BLS and ACLS are required.
• At least 1+ year in an acute care hospital setting (ED or PCU) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients considering physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and revise them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely according to physician orders and protocols.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and self-care to promote understanding.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes.

Job Description:

Grow with us. Eligible clinicians have the opportunity to earn salary increases of up to 20% through our Clinical Ladder Program based on experience, professional development, and achievement of advancement criteria.

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines.

Schedule: PRN agreement with 2 shift Per week availability with some of those shifts being weekend shifts also rotating holidays and hurricane teams - flexibility is required.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures
• Ability to work as a Team player within a unit
• Effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving skills
• EKG competency
• Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills)

Pay Range:

$31.85 - $52.76
