Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a registered nurse to join our night shift team on a full-time basis. The position offers a Clinical Ladder program with potential salary increases based on experience and achievement, plus comprehensive benefits from Day One.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning, medication administration, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with documentation in the medical record.

Qualifications

• Associatedegree in Nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• RN license required (State of Florida).
• BLS required; ACLS required.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly evaluate and revise plans.

• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.

Job Description

Clinical Ladder participation is voluntary. Salary adjustments are determined by program eligibility, advancement level, and organizational guidelines. Schedule: Full-time, 36 hours per week Shift: Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am (with weekend rotation)

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Education

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

• 1+ acute care hospital setting [Preferred]

Licenses And Certifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required]
